I'm Back

Back again after a 4 month Hiatus!!!!!!!!

Well it has been a while since my last post but with all that comes with moving in we have been extremely busy. We are quite happy with our new Ryan Home there were some things we found wrong and are still finding some but they were minor and Ryan was right there to fix them.  After moving in we discovered that there were things that we didn't think about when we were building like light switches and where they were placed. We also would have had them add a few more plugs on the exterior of the home. The so called top soil in the yard leaves a lot to be desired we have a difference of opinion with Ryan on what I consider good top soil and what they do.There is a lot of stone in the soil which causes the grass to not grow in some places.  There also is a lot of large rocks under the soil that weren't removed when they graded.  This causes for difficult digging when you put up a deck or a fence. Well enough for now I will try to post more latter along with ssome more pics.

  1. I totally agree about the 'topsoil'. I asked if there would be some topsoil put down before the sod and was told that the current 'dust' was good stuff. It looks like dead dried out dust. I wish I could pay to get actual dark, moist topsoil put down. Most of the rocks are gone but there are lots of roots in the ground which in my opinion should be dug up. It is small things like that which stop the whole process from being amazing. Lovely looking house btw.

  2. Love the color tile and listello in the bathroom. They have that color in the model in our community. It's beautiful.

  3. What did you do in your mudroom/laundry room? Now that the doors are in on ours, we need to rethink our ideas for storage, coats and boots....
